A recent study revealed that the top 10 jobs in 2010 didn’t exist in 2004. Educators struggle to keep pace with technology, globalization, learning styles and career preparation in a fast forward world. Industry seeks the talent to drive the 21st century economy.
TEDxUBC will feature passionate speakers, entertainment and discussion on the challenges facing academia and industry of matching skills needed with skills taught. TEDxUBC is a cross-discipline and inter-scholastic event where leading thinkers and doers from secondary, post-secondary and lifelong education and industry will, in true TED fashion, discover ideas worth spreading.
