A week of celebration and reflection
We invite you to share how your unit celebrates learning.
Celebrate Learning Week (CLW) is a cross-campus showcase of teaching, learning, innovation, and community engagement at UBC. We want to highlight the ways you foster curiosity, support learners, spark creativity, strengthen partnerships, and make a difference in your classrooms, units, and communities. CLW brings together open lectures, workshops, panel discussions, poster sessions, creative showcases and more to amplify stories of learning and growth.
UBC faculty, staff, students and community members are encouraged to submit session contributions for inclusion in Celebrate Learning Week.
We want to hear from you!
This is an open invitation to contribute whether you’re leading a formal session or presenting a creative activity that celebrates learning in action.
We’re looking for contributions that:
- Highlight creative and innovative approaches to teaching and learning
- Showcase meaningful partnerships with students or community
- Celebrate ongoing programs, awards, mentorship initiatives, annual events or learning traditions
- Share lessons from projects that advance learning and impact learners
Should you have any questions regarding the call for session proposals, please reach out to Rachel at rachel.lee@ubc.ca.
Please submit your contribution by March 31, 2026.

You are responsible for booking your own event space or online platform details, and for specific promotion with your audiences, but we’re happy to partner with you through the process.

We acknowledge that Celebrate Learning Week is being hosted on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Syilx Okanagan Nation and the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam) People. The organizing committee would like to express its gratitude to those communities for all of their contributions to the teaching and learning community at UBC. We encourage everyone to learn more about the relationships between UBC and the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam) People + the Syilx Okanagan Nation.
