Description

The two-day conference will highlight innovative learning exchanges and generate ideas and directions for the future. Innovative aspects include:

FRESH THEMES
Explores a variety of themes like Hot Topics and Contemporary Issues in the DTES, Innovative Approaches to Evaluation and Learning, Student Experiential Learning and Involvement, and History and Culture in the DTES.

NON-TRADITIONAL FORMATS
Features a wide range of sessions including workshops, arts-based activities, performances, panel discussions, and interactive exhibits.

DIVERSE PEOPLE
Connects community members and organization with UBC faculty, staff and students, in welcoming and friendly ways.

HISTORIC LOCATIONS
Spans over two historic locations, embedded in the community, the Vancouver Japanese Language School and Ironworks Studios.
