Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Session

Date & Time: Thursday, October 30, 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Location: Room B151, School of Population & Public Health, 2206 East Mall

Description: UBC faculty, staff, students, and members of the campus community are invited to join Bonnie McCoy from the Breast Cancer Prevention & Risk Assessment Clinic in a breast cancer risk assessment session to learn how to prevent breast cancer through healthy lifestyle changes. This interactive session will provide the latest evidence pertaining to the prevention of breast cancer through lifestyle change, risk assessment, and chemoprevention.

Prior to the session, registered participants will need to complete a brief online survey and pre-session questionnaire, in addition to two risk assessment tools to objectively assess the risk of developing the disease. After the session, each participant will receive a report card/letter of recommendations in order to work on lifestyle areas that will aid in reducing their risk.

Registration for this event is required, and closes on Friday, October 24, 2014.
