In the spring and summer of 2013 UBC launched four MOOCs on the Coursera platform. In this panel the faculty who developed those MOOCs will talk about their experience: what it was like to develop and run MOOCs, what they learned about online teaching and learning, how the experience has affected their on-campus courses and what they plan to do with their MOOCs next.

This event is intended for anyone interested in developing a MOOC, using a MOOC in your existing class, just curious to learn more about what MOOCs are like in practice or even skeptical about MOOCs. Vice Provost Redish will be using short excerpts from the MOOCs to ask the first questions; but afterwards questions will be taken from the audience.

Ticketing Information: This is a FREE event.

Open to Public, Recommended for faculty and anyone else interested in the future of MOOCs, UBC MOOC offerings and how MOOCs might affect teaching and learning at UBC.
