Description:The parameters of American Sign Language (ASL) will be reviewed with examples of each and videos, along with resources for further study. These parameters include phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. Other sign systems will be discussed and contrasted with ASL. Videos, links, and printed material of resources to assist individuals interested in learning more about ASL will be provided, along with a question/answer format throughout the presentation.
