Location: Paetzold Centre, Main Floor, Jim Pattison Pavilion

Description:
We will celebrate the UBC Centre for Menstrual Cycle and Ovulation Research’s (CeMCOR) eight years of discovery and knowledge translation—through its popular and highly rated website—www.cemcor.ubc.ca. Young and adolescent women will learn about non-hormonal ways to decrease heavy flow and cramps and know if they are fertile. Midlife women will appreciate they are not alone during the storm season that is perimenopause with its paradoxical heavy flow, night sweats and sore breasts as well as learn the hormonal and social reasons for these experiences. And menopausal women will be offered new ways to prevent and treat hot flushes and, if chosen, effective strategies that will allow them to discontinue taking estrogen therapy.
