From “I Don’t Know How She Does It” to mothers who kill, the subject of motherhood is under scrutiny today as never before. Increasing numbers of educated mothers want to raise their own children but nevertheless seek to find an outlet in blogs or home-based businesses. Why is motherhood so culturally fraught in the modern West, and what can be done to reduce the pressure? And most importantly, is there life after children? Carellin Brooks, Ph. D. will talk about all of these issues related to modern motherhood.
