Understanding Brain Dysfunction: Mechanisms, Symptoms and Treatment
Get an opportunity to connect brain dysfunction, symptoms and treatment for a subset of neurological conditions in this two-part course. Understand the mechanisms of stroke and traumatic brain injury, and a subset of the following topics: movement, perception, attention, memory, and language (coverage based on class interest). Both parts of this course complement each other, but can be taken separately.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT): New Developments in Theory and Practice
Learn the key aspects of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) through didactic instruction and experiential exercises. MBCT integrates techniques from mindfulness-based stress reduction with cognitive therapy for depression to teach individuals who have recovered from depression new skills to help prevent future relapses. Enhance your practice with research supporting the use of MBCT in mood and anxiety disorders and the core therapeutic tasks that accompany each MBCT group session. Preliminary data on the feasibility of delivering MBCT in an individual format will also be explored.
Project Management 6: Communicating Progress to Clients and Management
Discover how to report on the progress of a project to stakeholders and management. Find out how to customize and standardize progress reports across multiple projects, capture actual progress, create new reports with tables and views, automate repetitive reports with macros, and use project data on the Web in word processing documents and for graphical reporting. This course is held in a computer lab.
Note: Project Management 1 and 2 (IG101 and IG102) or equivalent experience is recommended.
