Description:

What’s Your Ideal Learning Environment – for Teaching and for Learning? What does it look like? What makes it good? What role does technology play? UBC staff, students and faculty are encouraged to explore these questions in a “World Café” style discussion. The outcomes of your recommendations will be compiled and shared during the Learning Conference on October 28, 2010 and will be used to inform decision making about various aspects of teaching and learning at UBC.

What is a World Café? A World Café is an approach to discussion based on clusters of people, sharing their thoughts around specific questions over a two hour period. Thoughts will be documented, clustered and themed and we’ll end the discussion by looking at some patterns, insights, further questions and recommendations that may emerge from the process.

This is a free event open to professionals and UBC staff, students and faculty.
