Name: Leaders’ Dialogue Series: On Making a Difference for Good

Location: Point Grey Graduate Student Centre, Crescent Road
Description: The Faculty of Graduate Studies invites graduate students to participate in a dialogue which will explore such questions as: If the goal of education is to develop individuals who make a positive difference, should universities be teaching values? How does one define good? Why does that change over time? How can we deal with conflicting ethical norms? Is UBC itself ethical? Dr. Michael McDonald, Dr. Rhodri Windsor-Liscombe and Dr. Susan Porter will lead the discussion and invite interaction among graduate students from across the disciplines.
Admission is free and pizza is provided. We encourage everyone to register in advance by sending an email to gradgps@interchange.ubc.ca.
