Embrace France’s long tradition of making excellent quality wines. Delve into the history of the different regions and explore the styles of wine that each has to offer. Help boost your confidence by learning how to decipher French labels as you adopt a comfort level with these wonderful wines. This course covers Champagne and Burgundy, Loire and Bordeaux, and Alsace, Rhône and Languedoc-Roussillon. Choose one class only or take all three for a discounted price.

Champagne and Burgundy Learn about the traditional production method that separates Champagne from other sparkling wines and navigate the complexities of terroir within the Burgundy region. Examine the harvesting techniques and the art of blending in Champagne wines. Understand the classifications of Burgundy wines, learn about the ageing process and discern the different wines of Burgundy such as Côte d’Or, Côte de Beaune and Beaujolais. Refine your tasting palate while learning about the major varietals and flavour characteristics of these two regions.
