Description: Charles van Sandwyk is one of the world’s most accomplished book illustrators. UBC Library Rare Books and Special Collections presents an exhibition that explains the artistic and literary sources of van Sandwyk’s work including Albecht Durer, Rembrandt van Rijn, Arthur Rackham, Mahatma Gandhi, and J.R.R. Tolkiein.

A catalogue of the exhibition will available in mid November in two editions; one with an original copper plate engraving.
